All queries must be sent to submissions@firedrakesweyr.com. Your query letter must describe the story, working title, author name (real and pseudonym), word count, targeted genre, and a short blurb outlining the plot. Please also include if this book has been previously released with another company. After reviewing your query, we will inform you if we’d like to see the manuscript and synopsis. We will not review un-requested manuscripts.

The synopsis and manuscript should be as follows:

• A doc or rtf file (not PDF or other format) - full manuscripts only please.
• What line/category(s) the story is targeted for
• Detailed synopsis (describing setting and main characters and outlining full plot, including resolution)
• Blurb (approx. 200 words) for general audiences (if your manuscript is an adult title, please also include a second blurb for adults)

Include the following on the first page of the document and in the cover email: Title, Author (pen and real names), email address, phone number, genre(s), and word count of full manuscript.

Before you send your first query, please be sure your manuscript has been thoroughly self-edited, we highly advise the use of spell and grammar check. It is advisable that you have your manuscript proofread by several skilled and experienced persons other than yourself. It must be as free of typos and grammatical errors as you can get it. We do not specify a required format and your manuscript will not be rejected due to formatting, however, we suggest using one-inch margins, 1.5 line spacing, and a common, variable-space, (not script) serif font.

Notice for previously published authors: We will only consider your off-contract books if you can prove that you hold exclusive rights.

We do not accept content that contain pedophilia, incest, bestiality (shape shifters are acceptable), bodily fluids, gratuitous abuse, sex, or violence.
